Screw cap data matrix racks

Ritter Medical recognizes that modern sample management requires sophisticated sealed vials and screw cap robotic consumables for the archived storage of individual samples.

The new line of screw cap dataMatrix racks is added to Ritter’s robotic consumables range to enable all necessary data to be retained for each individual sample.

The 96-well dataMatrix rack is made from low binding virgin high transparency polypropylene (PP).

DataMatrix features

Ritter’s dataMatrix racks feature 96 separate tubes with internal screw threads for secured sample locking using individual screw caps or total coverage push mats.

The base of each dataMatrix tube carries a unique white on black data matrix code that is readable by all mainstream scanners. Linear barcode can be provided on the end of the rack where needed.

Tubes and bottoms are produced using Ritter’s patented ‘wet-on-wet’ process, to avoid any separation of the two components due to mechanical or thermal influences.

Internally, the tubes have a U-bottom for minimal dead volume.

Racks are SBS stackable with locking lids and are certified to withstand deep freeze storage down to -196 °C (-321 °F).

Screw caps

The screw caps are equipped with special O-rings to guarantee airtight sealing with the tubes. Each cap head is equipped with an internal 8-point torx socket for positive contact with cappers/decapper tools.

Caps are available in white, black, blue, green, red and yellow colors for easier sorting and identification.

Push cap mats

Ritter can also supply push cap mats for single operation sealing of an entire rack. The mats are made of flexible thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) material to be ‘peeled on’ to the rack, with each individual cap featuring a ridged form for tight sealing with the internal tube thread.

Push cap mats can be used in cold storage down to -80 °C (-112 °F).

Push mats are available in white, black, blue, green, red and yellow for color-coded rack and batch identification.

All dataMatrix racks, screw caps and push cap mats are manufactured under ISO 8 clean room conditions and are certified free of DNA, DNase, RNA, RNase and endotoxins.

Ritter’s products are made from certified pollution-free plastics. Ultra-pure construction materials eliminate risks of residues or additives falsifying the results of highly sensitive analyses, etc.

Standards
All Ritter liquid handling and dispensing devices are inspected for product quality after manufacture to meet DIN EN ISO 8655 standards.
