Ritter Medical enhances riplate® PCR 96-well plates for greater flexibility and compatibility
Schwabmünchen, Germany: – Ritter Medical, now part of the Avantor group, as the German-based manufacturer of high quality robotic disposables, liquid dispensing and clinical solutions used in life sciences worldwide, has further enhanced its riplate® PCR 96-well plates from its range of robotic consumable microplates.
The extended range of riplate® plates now includes clear well versions, small sample tube strips, as well as sealing strips for greater overall flexibility and long term storage options.
Developed for PCR
Specially developed for fully automated PCR analyses, riplate® PCR is an ideal plate for low volume sample applications. Its distinctive composite construction, combining polypropylene wells for high chemical resistance with a robust polycarbonate frame for mechanical and temperature-resistant rigidity and easy handling, even in high temperature conditions.
Furthermore, thin-walled polypropylene wells provide excellent heat conduction and minimize condensation. V-shaped well cavities maximise fluid recovery for low volume samples and reduced wastage.
Each riplate® PCR consists of 96 Wells with a maximum individual volume of 145 µl and working range 5 – 125 µl per well. Raised rims reduce the risk of cross-contamination.
Enhanced options
Alphanumeric coding of individual wells along with barcoding options support easier automation and data management, while the combination of a stackable design and sealing strips allow for easier sample storage.
For smaller sample volumes, Ritter Medical has developed strips of eight white reaction V-profile tubes with corresponding cap strips to provide tight sealing of the entire tube set.
Riplate® PCR comply with SBS robotic screening industry standards for, with products free of DNA, ATP, Rnase/ Dnase, and pyrogens. They are compatible with all common thermocyclers, including Bio-Rad® CFX, etc.
