Ritter to exhibit new magnetic plates at CMEF Shanghai

Schwabmünchen, Germany: – Ritter Medical, the German-based manufacturer of sterile and technically advanced plastics for medical and research use, will exhibit latest additions to its Robotic Consumables range at China’s huge CMEF Spring Fair in Shanghai in mid-April.

Ritter will be sharing stand J22B in hall 4.1 at CMEF Spring 2016 with fellow Bavarian-based companies.

Magnetic separation plates

Its display will feature an extended range of robotic consumables, including the recently introduced Riplate® magnetic separation plates, which are KingFisher compatible.

Ritter Medical’s CEO, Ralf Ritter, and Medical Sales Division Manager, Michael Fuchs, will lead the company’s team at Shanghai’s recently completed National Exhibition and Congress Center.

Cleanroom construction

Ritter’s new 96-well KingFisher-compatible plates are suitable for cleaning, mixing or centrifugation of samples as well as the storage and preparation of substances. Their magnetic separation technology, based on magnetic particles, allows fast and efficient sample preparation with high throughput.

The plates’ precision cleanroom manufacture Society for Biomolecular Screening (SBS) standards from high-purity polypropylene to ensure long-term reproducibility for filtration of proteins as well as DNA extraction over extended series.

Reduced cross-contamination

The plates are available in 0.2 ml and 2 ml well capacity versions, with wells alphanumeric coded for individual sample identification.

Newly developed top square and bottom round wells enable a good bioturbation of samples while raised rims reduce risk of cross-contamination.

Other advantages include high solvent and chemical resistance.

About CMEF 2016

The China International Medicinal Equipment Fair (CMEF) was founded in 1979 and is held twice a year – spring and autumn. It has now become the largest exhibition of medical equipment, related products and services in the Asia-Pacific region.

The 75th Fair (CMEF Spring 2016) is a four-day event, opening April 17 at the ultra-modern National Exhibition and Convention Center, Shanghai, co-located with the International Component Manufacturing & Design Show (IMCD 2016).
