Ritter microTube® rack – the frozen storage and sample handling solution
The microTube rack is part of the Ritter Medical Clinical range of Robotic Consumables, offering safe sample storage in a 96-tube rack that is also compatible with automated liquid handling robotic systems.
The rack is compatible with all current SBS standard robotic systems, making its ideal for polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-applications, HTLV-111 testing, RIA and EIA and the deep frozen storage or transport of reagents or samples, including blood.
The special removable bottom plate fixes and centers the tubes within the microTube rack, allowing easier handling of each sample, even under frozen condition while the V-bottom tube profile reduces the ‘dead volume’ of non-swept sample. The rack is constructed from ultra high-grade polypropylene to withstand temperatures as low as -85 °C.
Design and features:
The microTube rack is designed for secure stacking and features alphanumeric marking for data tracking.
The stackable, transparent SBS format cover with alphanumeric marking on the lid snaps into position to close with the rack. Sealed closure for storage can be achieved with 96-well capmats or strips of eight plug caps.
The tubes are available in two sizes, 1.2 ml or 0.65 ml and feature a V-bottom shape to minimize the unswept ‘dead volume’ at bottom of well. Tubes are made from high-quality polypropylene to withstand temperatures down to -85 °C. Tubes are available individually or in linked strips of eight tubes.
The SBS standard form and footprint make microTube rack compatible with all leading robotic liquid handling and storage systems, including Tecan, Euroimmun Sprinter XL and Beckman Coulter.
This makes microTube ideal for PCR /qPCR applications, HTLV-111 testing, RIA and EIA, and transport/storage of reagents or samples.
The microTube’s special bottom plate keeps each tube securely in alignment to allow precise handling of each sample, even under deep frozen conditions. This makes microTube rack ideal for the storage of blood samples in clinical laboratories, hospitals, life sciences companies, medical industry and distributors.
Quality & Certification
