Riplate® magnetic – the new Ritter plate specially designed for magnetic separation

For the separation of proteins as well as for DNA extraction in many cases an automated magnetic separation is used. Ritter Medical has expanded the riplate® assortment with riplate® magnetic plates, which meet this requirement.

Overview

Riplate® Magnetic is a range of 96-well clear plates specially developed for magnetic separation, cleaning, mixing or centrifugation of samples in KingFisherTM 96 Flex magnetic particle processors.

The 2ml or 0.2ml plates can be used for storage and preparation of substances and feature high resistance to commonly used chemicals, solvents and alcohols and high stability during centrifugation, with newly developed cylindrical wells promoting good bioturbation of samples. The range also features alphanumeric coding to allow the registration and identification of individual samples.

Magnetic separation

Developed and produced in Germany, these plates have been specially designed for use with the magnetic separation technology that is increasingly used for filtration of proteins as well as for DNA extraction.

The technology is based on magnetic particles that allow fast and efficient sample preparation with high throughput. In order to perform this separation process with long-term reproducibility, Ritter Medical has developed precise magnetic plate components made from high-purity polypropylene. Production under Class 8 cleanroom conditions ensures sustainability of these products as well as reliable analysis results.

Features

Riplate® Magnetic plates are compatible with KingFisherTM 96 Flex Magnetic Particle Processors and can be used for cleaning, mixing or centrifugation of samples, as well as for storage and preparation of substances.
