MEDELPHARM under new leadership

Beynost, (Lyon), France: Jean-Yves Balfin has taken over as new General Manager of research-based manufacturer and powder compaction specialist MEDELPHARM.

Mr. Balfin, previously MEDELPHARM Director of Finance & Administration, succeeds Bruno Villa, who is stepping down after more than 20 years in the leadership position, along with his fellow MEDELPHARM co-founder Ingrid Coyle, Director of Communications.

KORSCH connections

The change of leadership at MEDELPHARM was announced by parent company KORSCH AG, the world leader in high performance tablet presses .

Jean-Yves Balfin is highly experienced in KORSCH tableting technology having spent more than 25 years in Sales and Product Management for the KORSCH agent FARPI-FRANCE and then as KORSCH Area Sales Manager in Berlin and later Product Manager up to January 2024, when he joined MEDELPHARM.

This experience is significant in a business context in which MEDELPHARM STYL’One compaction simulation technology is becoming a key component in end-to-end offers from KORSCH that extend from R&D, through scale-up, to high-speed tablet production.
