Skyepharma’s new HPAPI zone

To mark the opening of their new HPAPI zone for OEB 4/5+ molecules, Skyepharma hosted their first Scientific Symposium on February 6th, 2025. This event, titled “Recent Advances in Overcoming Oral Solid Dosage Form Development Current Challenges,” brought together industry experts to discuss the latest innovations and challenges in oral solid dosage form development.

MEDELPHARM installed a STYL’One Evo DryCon® Compaction Simulator in Skyepharma’s new HPAPI zone. This state-of-the-art equipment is designed to handle HPAPIs safely, ensuring both operator protection and precision in formulation development.

Key features of the STYL’One Evo DryCon®

• High Containment: Advanced containment solutions, including negative pressure control, air filtration, and safe cleaning protocols
• Versatility: Capable of producing single-layer and multi-layer tablets, handling up to five layers with three different products
• Simulation Capabilities: Replicate high compression speeds of large production rotary presses for seamless scale-up and production support
• Software Integration: Analis software provides precise control and analysis of the tableting process.

As part of the symposium, Quentin Boulay, Marketing Director from MEDELPHARM, shared insights on “STYL’One Compaction Simulators: a tool for accelerated tablet development and efficient production support.” This presentation highlighted how the STYL’One Evo could accelerate tablet development and enhance production efficiency, even in HPAPI-based therapies.
