Beynost (Lyon), France: – Research-based manufacturer and powder compaction specialist MEDELPHARM, part of the KORSCH Group, is offering universities an opportunity to win extended use of its advanced STYL’One Nano Compaction Simulator.
The contest is open to all universities involved with powder compression across a wide variety of fields including pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, personal & home care, food and industrial applications.
Judging innovation potential
MEDELPHARM is inviting university research teams to submit details of a project that involves powder characterization, powder compression, formulation optimization etc. including scope, potential for innovation, collaborations, PhD involvement, relevance to Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) forms, and how STYL’One Nano capabilities would benefit the research.
Applications must be submitted by April 20, 2025. After this deadline, an expert MEDELPHARM Selection Committee comprising General Manager Jean-Yves Balfin, Director Marketing & Product Management Quentin Boulay, Director Science Lab Bruno Leclercq, Director Engineering, Production & Services Thomas Vermeulin, and Application Laboratory Manager Adrien Pelloux will consider all submissions to select the most promising projects.
Shortlisted universities will then be invited to present further details of their projects in online discussion sessions with the Committee, who will then select the final three winners.

The first prize will be a two-year loan of the STYL’One Nano Compaction Simulator. The second-placed team will gain free access to the MEDELPHARM and KORSCH global network of INNOVATION CENTERs for a week to use their advanced equipment and expertise to run experiments. Third prize is an entrance ticket to the AAPS international scientific conference or the Tabletting School seminar at De Montfort University in the UK.
