ZellBio GmbH offers a wide range of off-the-shelf high quality bioassays to support life sciences research, discovery and analytical applications.

These ZELLX® branded bioassay kits provide analytical tools to determine the quantity or biological activity of substances such as vitamins, hormones, enzymes, receptors and etc., in-vitro.

Accurate quantification is achieved using standard curve methods that allow the researcher to define the unknown concentration or activity of a target substance based on the known quantity of a standard.

Bioassay applications

ZellBio has specialized in development of high quality, easy to perform, and highly sensitive ZELLX® bioassay and immunoassay kits with the focus on oxidative stress, HPA axis stress response, coronavirus analysis and reproductive studies to satisfy the demands of researchers worldwide.

ZELLX® product lines follow three main pathways:

Oxidative stress & Antioxidants: ZELLX® provides a range of colorimetric and fluorometric-based assays to evaluate the amount of both enzymatic and non-enzymatic antioxidants in oxidative stress pathways that form common types of toxicity, defined by imbalances between reactive oxygen species (ROS) and the ability of biological systems to detoxify them.
HPA axis: ZELLX® has also developed a series of ELISA and chemiluminescent bioassays to assess hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal (HPA) axis interactions that play important roles in stress response and regulation of biological processes, including digestion and energy usage, immune response, sexuality and emotions. These measure plasma levels of glucocorticoid hormones cortisol and corticosterone that are the end products of HPA axis feedback loop.
Molecular biology: ZELLX® branded ELISA and PCR-related tools for molecular and serological analysis, include a serological assay that allows the study of the immune response to SARS-CoV-2 as an essential tool to establish precise rate of infection in an affected area and infection fatality rate by identifying individuals mounting strong antibody responses based on measurement of SARS-CoV-2- Specific IgG (N&S Proteins) response over 90 minutes. ZELLX® also offers two specific SARS-CoV-2 COVID-19 assays that use qPCR methods to detest COVID-19 in real time.
