SYFPAC® DUO BFS in action at CPHI Frankfurt

Vicenza, Italy: – Brevetti Angela Srl will underline its technological leadership in Blow-Fill-Seal pharma packaging machinery with a fully operating cleanroom installation of its revolutionary SYFPAC® DUO BFS packaging system at Europe’s leading pharma industry event, CPHI Worldwide 2025 in Frankfurt-am-Main.

This will be Brevetti Angela’s seventh successive appearance at CPHI Worldwide. Its stand at Booth 9.0C45 will provide one of the highlights of the Pharma Machinery (P-MEC) zone at the Messe Frankfurt. The centerpiece of the stand will be a fully functional SYFPAC® DUO  within a representative cleanroom environment, emphasizing the machine’s remarkably compact footprint.

SYFPAC® DUO on show

The SYFPAC® DUO platform was launched to the world at last year’s CPHI Worldwide expo in Milan. For this repeat appearance, the functionality of the machine will be on show, producing BFS vial products. Elsewhere on stand, samples will illustrate the DUO’s Insertion Technology that allows different forms to be introduced into the aseptically isolated closed parison for the quickest manufacturing of complex medical devices.

This unique combination provides unparalleled flexibility in production of new and cost-effective drug delivery devices such as prefilled syringes, multidose eye droppers, etc.,  with the samples available with the staff during the show.

Flexible and scalable

SYFPAC® DUO flexibility is also evident in its easy modular scalability. The basic machine can be expanded in steps with each upgrade approximately doubling production capacity from a base 4,000 units per hour up to a maximum 40,000 units/hr. Like all SYFPAC® platforms, it can process LDPE, HDPE and PP plastics with only HMI recipe changes, with DUO now boasting industry-leading rapid mould changeover times.

Combined with a compact footprint of only 6m², the SYFPAC® DUO boasts the highest productivity/size ratio of any Blow Fill Seal machine.

Class-leading compliance

SYFPAC® DUO is also unique in providing real time internal particle monitoring via its integral process monitoring system. Along with the closed parison design, this allows the platform to easily match and even exceed EU GMP Annex 1 aseptic filling requirements. These capabilities allow Brevetti Angela to bill DUO as the ‘Fastest, Smallest, and Safest Blow Fill Seal machine’ on the market.

Plastic waste is the lowest in the industry, as scrap is reduced to less than 6% making it close-to-zero waste. SYFPAC® DUO can also support cold production of temperature sensitive biologicals and vaccines at well under 25°C, which is unprecedented for a closed parison BFS machine. This makes DUO an ideal solution for producers of vaccines, injectables, eye drops, biologicals, inhalation devices, small volume parenterals, and highly potent/toxic formulations needing BSL level 4 isolation.

Family of products

The SYFPAC® DUO will take its place in Brevetti Angela world of Blow Fill Seal machinery, replacing the SVP, TWIN and SECUREJECT® systems with a faster production of small volume parenterals and prefilled syringes. As for Large Volume Parenterals, the trusted SYFPAC® LVP remains Brevetti Angela’s best choice for aseptic high-speed production of plastic bottles from 50ml to 1000ml.

Brevetti Angela’s team in Frankfurt will include a strong staff of Blow Fill Seal experts, including Chief Engineer Rajeev Kabbur, Technical Sales Experts Ajay Kabbur and Massimo Consolaro,  as well as Technical Department Coordinator Edoardo Consolaro.

Once again, Brevetti Angela will share its stand with sister company 3CK, maker of revolutionary silicone-free O-Flow prefillable syringes, who will also display its latest C-PAD injection device as a prefilled syringe that  is produced on the BFS SYFPAC® DUO platform.
