Showing SYFPAC® DUO technology in Japan

Brevetti Angela will be one of the featured presenters at the annual Combination Product Seminar that provides a showcase for the latest in parenteral technology and solutions. The North-Italian company has a relationship with the event extending back several years, under its former iteration as the Prefilled Syringe Seminar.

Blow Fill Seal advances

Senior Engineer Rajeev Kabbur has lectured at successive PDA Chapter Japan events, covering topics such as ‘Ensuring a Grade A environment in reciprocating Blow-Fill-Seal’, ‘Vaccine filling and prefilled syringes in BFS’, ‘Continuous manufacturing using Blow Fill Seal technology’ and most recently ‘Importance of Communication in the development of Combination Devices, & compliance of Primary packaging equipment and technology’.

For 2025, Rajeev Kabbur, who is Brevetti Angela’s Sales, Marketing, & R&D Director, will address the seminar on the topic of ‘Aseptic Process Simulation’, showing how the revolutionary SYFPAC® DUO closed and continuous parison system with its unique insertion technology can ensure a totally aseptic fill and finish environment that exceeds Annex 1 requirements for the production of prefilled syringes on Blow Fill Seal.

Small volume parenterals and medical devices

Brevetti Angela’s tabletop display will show examples of the many different small volume parenterals for pharmaceutical vials and ampoules, as well as the prefilled syringes that can be produced on its SYFPAC® platforms.

The company will also host one of the lunchtime seminars, in association with its local agents CBM, with their deep experience of the Japanese pharma market and its requirements.

About Combination Product Seminar Japan 2025

Japan’s annual Combination Product Seminar is dedicated to parenteral combination products, including pre-filled syringes, in which two or more regulated components are physically, chemically or otherwise combined into a single product to meet needs arising from medical advances.

The event, previously known as the Prefilled Syringe Seminar, has expanded its scope to include a wider range of advances in medical products, such as nasal mucosa and alveolar administration technologies as routes of drug administration, handling technologies for powders and solids as well as liquids as dosage forms, and administration device technologies equipped with IT technology to adjust drug dosage by incorporating real-time patient ecological information.

Combination Product Seminar 2025 is a two-day event, opening September 17 at the Sola City Conference Center in Tokyo. The Seminar will be themed ‘Current and Future Perspective of Combination Products’ and will include a series of expert presentations covering the current state of the art of combination products and emerging needs in healthcare.
