Ritter dataMatrix racks
Modern IT-aided sample management needs new disposables for archival storage of individual samples. Therefore, Ritter Medical’s new line of dataMatrix racks is an important addition to the microTube rack range.
Each dataMatrix rack supports advanced sample archiving by retaining all necessary data for each individual sample contained in the tubes.
Features
The Ritter dataMatrix rack and tube design was shaped with real laboratory needs in mind:
- Tubes are made from low binding virgin polypropylene with internal screw thread for secured locking of sample
- Each tube is equipped with a unique data matrix code (white on black), easily readable by all common scanners
- Tubes and bottoms are produced according to Ritter’s patented wet-on-wet-process, to avoid any separation of the two components due to mechanical or thermal influences
- Internally, the tubes have a U-bottom for low dead volume. They are highly transparent to allow inspection of the filling
- Racks conform to Society for Biomolecular Screening (SBS) format for stackabily and interoperability
- On demand, rack can be fitted with a linear barcode on the narrow side of the rack
- Screw caps are equipped with a special O-ring seal to guarantee air tightness
- Cap head is equipped with an internal 8-face Torx socket for positive contact with capping/decapping tools
- Screw caps are available in white, black, blue, green, red and yellow colors
- Racks and screw caps are certified down to -196 °C (-321 °F)
- Push cap mats are made from thermoplastic elastomers (TPE)
- Caps have an internal thread for tight sealing with the tubes
- Push caps are certified to temperatures up to -80 °C (-112 °F)
- Push caps available in six colors: white, black, blue, green, red and yellow
