PHCbi PrimeSurface® Cell Culture labware
PHCbi’s range of PrimeSurface® well plates, slit well plates and dishes for 3D Cell Culture Applications feature ultra-low attachment material construction with non-binding and non-cytotoxic surfaces to facilitate natural spheroid or EB cell formation in each well.
The plates offer a wide choice of well bottom formats and different sampling capacities, from 106mL through to 300mL, while dishes offer different flat bottomed culturing areas ranging from 9 to 57 square centimeters.
PrimeSurface® Cell Culture Plate Design and Features
PrimeSurface cell culture labware are ultra-low attachment (ULA) dishes and plates that promote scaffold free, self-assembly of spheroid formation. The plates are pre-coated with unique ultra-hydrophilic polymer that enables spontaneous spheroid formation of uniform size and shape with zero interaction with plate surface.
The widely used 96 well plates are available in a choice of U, V and spindle well bottom formats, giving scientists a choice to form the tighter spheroids needed for specific cell types, while 384-well U-bottomed plates support high throughput robotic systems.
The PrimeSurface® plates are designed for easy handling compatibility with liquid robotic systems.
The clear ULA plates have high optical clarity making them highly suitable for bright field imaging and confocal microscopy. They are also available as white plates, compatible with luminescent assays.
PrimeSurface® Slit Well
PHCbi is also offering a PrimeSurface slit-well, ultra-low attachment 3D plate to facilitate easy handling of media exchange without disrupting spheroid formation.
Cell culturing involves frequent media replacement to provide nutrition to growing cells. In a standard 96 well plate, media aspiration or dispensing has to be done extremely carefully to avoid disturbing the unattached spheroid, making this a time consuming operation.
The PrimeSurface 96 Slit-Well Plate shares the medium between wells. This interconnectedness increases by up to 50% the total amount of medium available, allowing for less frequent media changes and more nutrients for the culture. It also allows media exchange to be efficiently handled with one step dispensing or aspiration for all 96 wells, decreasing pipetting time by more than 80% while minimizing the risk of spheroid damage.
Well plate specifications
The high optical clarity well plates facilitate spheroid assay formation and imaging analysis in the same plate and offer a variety of well bottom shapes: U-bottom, Spindle-bottom, and V-bottom in 96 well format, with 384 U-well formats also available for high throughput assays. All plates come in radiation sterilized packages at 20 plates per case and are supplied for research or laboratory use only.
PrimeSurface Dishes
PHCbi’s PrimeSurface range also includes three sizes of flat base labware cell culture dishes. These incorporate the same technology and general benefits as the well plates, specifically low attachment ULA format and ultra hydrophilic polymer pre-coating.
. The PrimeSurface Dish range includes:
- MS-90350Z: Radiation-sterilized packs of five 9cm2 surface area dishes
- MS-90600Z: Radiation-sterilized packs of ten 21cm2 surface area dishes
- MS-9090Z: Radiation-sterilized packs of ten 57cm2 surface area dishes.
Each listing comprises a ten-pack case.
