PHCbi IncuSafe Multigas Incubator MCO-170M-PE – virtual in vivo cell culturing
The 161-litre format MCO-170M-PE is one of a range of four PHCbi IncuSafe Multigas Incubators that offer ultra-precise regulation of oxygen and CO2, while maintaining superior temperature uniformity, contamination control, and usability. This makes them ideal for replicating virtual in vivo conditions to optimize the culturing of cells.
The MCO-170M with built in UV lamp and H2O2 decontamination options is ideally suited for mammalian tissue research applications, cellular therapy, stem cell research, pathophysiological studies and pharmaceutical production processes.
Design and features
PHCbi Multigas Incubators stress rigorous contamination control and ease of use, with a combination of microprocessor control, touch screen interface, and control systems for temperature and gas content that allow very precise regulation of chamber environment while maintaining superior temperature uniformity across a range from +5℃ above ambient to 50℃.
The PHCbi MCO-170M-PE IncuSafe Multigas Incubator provides effective capacity of 161 liters in an easily accessed double door enclosure with inner glass doors fronting three incubation shelves with PHCbi IncuSafe antibacterial copper-alloy stainless interior chamber and plenum lining that help to eliminate molds, spores and other contaminating spills, kills mycoplasma, creating a noncorrosive environment.
It is fitted with PHCbi’s single-beam, dual detector infrared (IR2) CO2 sensor to help ensure ultra-fast CO2 recovery without overshoot, even following multiple door openings whilst the unique solid-state Zirconia O2 sensor delivers precise control of physiological oxygen levels to simulate in vivo conditions.
The design also stresses active background decontamination with PHCbi’s exclusive IncuSafe copper-enriched stainless steel alloy interior offering the germicidal properties of copper and the durability of stainless steel. The optional, isolated, SafeCell UV lamp decontaminates circulating air and water in the humidifying pan, without harming cultured cells.
