L.B. Bohle to show continuous manufacturing leadership at FCE Pharma Brazil

Ennigerloh, Germany: – World-respected builder of advanced systems for pharma production, L.B. Bohle, will place the focus on innovation and continuous manufacturing when it exhibits its wide product range at the 28^th edition of South America’s leading pharmaceutical industry conference and trade fair, FCE Pharma in Brazil.

Continuous manufacturing breakthrough

A centerpiece of the L.B. Bohle display will be its groundbreaking QbCon® 1, the world’s first truly continuous wet granulator and dryer for R&D applications. Granulation and granule drying also play an important role in continuous manufacturing. QbCon® 1 is the only R&D system in the world that meets the quality requirements of pharmaceutical manufacturing.

It features the short residence time of granules in the dryer, with narrow residence time distribution essential for removal of defective products without having to discard a large part of the batch. Additionally, narrow residence time distribution simplifies material traceability in the continuous process, making it easier and less complex to trace finished tablets back to the raw materials or back from the raw materials to the finished tablet.
