L.B. Bohle HS Series Lifting Columns are widely used in pharmaceutical production as providing flexible, smart, and space-saving solutions for material handling challenges.

The versatile HS Lifting Column design means these slimline units can be easily positioned and used to lift, transport, position, fill, or empty containers that are too large or heavy for manual handling. They are also designed to integrate seamlessly into tableting, coating, capsule filling, sieving, weighing, and packaging processes.

Efficient handling starts with thoughtful design

At the heart of every L.B. Bohle Lifting Column lies a robust electromechanical chain drive that offers a lower maintenance and more hygienic alternative to hydraulically operated systems. This means longer service life and easier adaptation to clean room environments.

Safer and more efficient production is also supported by other GMP-compliant HS design features, such as precise container traverse and positioning, automated process sequences, and optional containment solutions.

All L.B. Bohle Lifting Columns now follow the HS Slimline (SL) format that features an exceptionally compact footprint for areas with limited space, along with integrated control cabinet and operating panel so that the whole unit occupies as little as 0.3 m2 of floor space.

The HS SL lifting column is operated via a touch-screen control panel, based on microcontrollers. The intuitive user interface allows the lifting column to operate automatically via programable workflow sequences.

Lifting Column applications

Many years of experience in handling technology have led to continuous further development of the HS lifting column, standardization and adjustment to the specific requirements in the industries. The versatility of the L.B. Bohle lifting column design allows it to be used across a range of pharma applications. including:

  • Transport of containers on horizontal and vertical levels
  • Filling/discharge of process machines (e.g., tablet coaters, tablet presses, capsule filling machines or sieving systems).
  • Integration in weighing systems

Additionally, lifting columns can be fitted with containment valves for low occupational exposure work processes and can be also equipped with cleaning aggregates.

HS SL Lifting Column range

L.B. Bohle offers seven versions of the HS Lifting Column, with essential specifications:
