L.B. Bohle Completes Successful Factory Acceptance Test for New BTC 600 Ex Tablet Coater

Ennigerloh, Germany – World leader in pharma production machinery L.B. Bohle Maschinen und Verfahren GmbH has successfully completed Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) on its latest tablet coating solution, the BTC 600 Ex.

The BTC 600 Ex Tablet Coater sets standards for film coating uniformity and quality, as well as operational efficiency. As with other L.B. Bohle tablet coaters, it combines the three fundamental coating processes of spraying, drying and mixing into one integrated operation in which each step is carefully programmed and optimized.

Bound for Portugal

The tested BTC 600 Ex is destined for delivery to a Portuguese customer. It is due to be installed and validated in the coming weeks, significantly increasing the facility’s tablet production capacity with its ten-nozzle spray head and maximum batch capacity of 980 litres.

Faster, cleaner, more efficient

The BTC 600 Ex will also boost plant efficiency, with all of the following attributes validated during the FAT process:

• Up to 35% shorter process times than conventional coating systems
• No tablet breakage or twin formation, thanks to gentle mixing action
• Spray solution losses minimized to under 5%
• Fast, easy CIP (clean-in-place)
