Kromasil EternityXT™ prep 10µm C18 and C8 derivatives
Kromasil EternityXT™ prep forms a family of long-life C18 and C8 derivatized stationary phases for preparative chromatography using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
EternityXT prep’s extraordinary chemical and mechanical stability and very high loadability place it in the forefront of purification technology, with bulk materials that support preparative chromatography under extreme harsh conditions across a very wide pH range and maintaining column integrity under high NaOH concentrations during clean-in-place (CIP) procedures.
The well regarded EternityXT family of products is based on patented technology where the material can operate under extremely demanding conditions, including extended pH range.
The materials are innovative in being silica-based but operating beyond regular silica material pH limits and uniquely performing as a polymer-based material under CIP conditions, making them able to handle sodium hydroxide concentrations of up to 1.0 M NaOH.
These stationary phase materials exhibit extraordinary mechanical and chemical stability, making them ideal choices for isolation and purification, where repacking of the material could be required to satisfy campaign projects as well as CIP when impurities bind very strongly to stationary phase.
The creation of a range of two Kromasil EternityXT 10 µm materials in C18 and C8 derivatizations that cover most of the purifications carried out in RPLC, extend the flexibility needed for small, medium and large-scale preparative chromatography.
This provides managers, engineers and chemists carrying out purification of peptides, oligos and small basic molecules with a choice of stationary phases with C18 and C8 derivatizations that function over extended pH range and provide an important new ability to carry out CIP with these materials.
Both Kromasil EternityXT 10µm C18 and C8 can operate at pH 1-12 and withstand CIP conditions up to 1M sodium hydroxide (NaOH).
Kromasil EternityXT C18 and C8 offer users stationary phase options to purify main compounds and isolate impurities depending on sample hydrophobicity, operating freely through almost the entire pH range.
With a significant portion of the APIs purified today being basic in nature, it is possible to run under strong basic conditions with these phases to increase loading onto the column, improve productivity and therefore reduce overall purification costs. Other compounds such as peptides and oligonucleaotides can also benefit from high pH purification methods.
EternityXT prep materials reduce cost and increase loadability throughout the preparative process, offering a range of tangible benefits:
- Great chemical stability for longer service life
- Better performance at high pH offering improved selectivity
- Greater loadability at higher pH conditions for increased productivity
- Increased mechanical stability for longer life
Kromasil EternityXT prep bulk materials are end capped and are shipped in both C18 and C8 derivatizations providing the flexibility needed from small to large-scale preparative chromatography.
