Bohus, Sweden: Kromasil, AkzoNobel’s global brand for chromatographic analysis and purification, will share at the PrepSymposium conference in Philadelphia the latest in the ever expanding portfolio of stationary phases which play a valuable role on prep and semi prep chromatography.
The Separation Products division is exhibiting at PrepSymposium 2016, opening July 17, with its stand at Booth 209 at Loews Hotel in Philadelphia. At the conference HPLC, SFC, as well s a multiple column approaches such as SMB, are discussed. Kromasil with its wide range of stationary phases is well positioned to supply end users with bulk and slurry packed columns for all three types chromatography.
The Kromasil team will also deliver an oral presentation to the scientific program and will be hosting a Kromasil Lunch Seminar.
““This is a great opportunity to meet our users, exhibit and contribute to this eminent symposium,” said Cecilia Mazza, Global Product Manager (Bulk and Columns), AkzoNobel Separation Products.
“We will be sharing with existing and potential end users the benefits of our products in small and large scale chromatography for the purification of APIs, insulin and insulin analogs, peptides, oligonucleotides and small proteins,” she explained.
“For manufacturing engineers, pharma plant engineers and API manufacturers and developers working with impurity isolation and product characterization, our columns offer powerful advantages in small scale HPLC and SFC as well as bulk for prep scale process ,” Ms. Mazza added.
Kromasil will also be present at the equivalent 16th International Symposium on Preparative and Industrial Chromatography and Allied Techniques (SPICA 2016) in Vienna in October.
The Kromasil® product line hails from the Swedish-based Separation Products group of AkzoNobel Pulp and Performance Chemicals, one of the world’s leading providers of specialty chemicals.
Kromasil products are fully back integrated and, for over more than 25 years, Kromasil columns as well as the bulk materials have greatly improved the effectiveness of UHPLC, HPLC and SFC.
Kromasil packings and columns have been used over the years for demanding chromatographic separations all over the world ranging from small synthetic pharmaceuticals, to peptides and larger size molecules. Popular applications include chromatographic analysis basic compounds and aromatics, determination of peptides and oligonucleotides, insulin and analogs, UHPLC separations for drugs and natural products, HPLC analysis of pesticides, and identification of chiral compounds.
About PrepSymposium 2016
The 29th International Symposium on Preparative and Process Chromatography (PrepSymposium 2015) provides one of North America’s premier arenas for presentation and discussion of latest developments in the field of Preparative & Process Chromatography, Separation Science and Technology.
The annual event gives scientists and media manufacturers from around the world an opportunity to share knowledge on cutting-edge areas of preparative and process chromatography.
The 2016 symposium is a four-day event opening July 17 and, like last year’s conference, staged at the famous Loews Hotel in America’s ‘Freedom City‘ of Philadelphia. The first plenary session is on Monday, July 18, with a keynote session on Industrial Case Studies in Protein Chromatography. Other sessions will focus on Preparative Chromatography in Drug Discovery, Innovative Materials and Processes for Biochromatography and Preparative Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC).
There is also an exhibition, along with workshop program providing advanced tutorials covering various aspects of process chromatography.
