Brevetti Angela bringing Blow-Fill-Seal innovations to BFS IOA Asia/Pacific 2024 meeting in Perth

Vicenza, Italy: Leading manufacturer of high-technology pharma packaging machinery, Brevetti Angela Srl, will introduce significant steps forward in BFS technology and applications at the 2024 Blow-Fill-Seal International Operators Association Asia/Pacific meeting in Perth, Western Australia.

On the machinery side, Brevetti Angela will present its revolutionary SYFPAC® DUO™ BFS platform as a significant technological step forward in combining the isolation of closed parison with the versatility of easy insertion previously associated only with shuttle systems. This gives it decisive advantages for the aseptic filling of small volume parenterals, especially pre-filled syringes.

CPAD on DUO

This new flexibility is illustrated by the other major development presented by Brevetti Angela; the C-PAD secured single-use self-injection device developed by sister company 3CK in collaboration with the Seattle-based PATH organisation.

C-PAD is designed as a low-cost and user-friendly prefilled syringe with huge applications in mass vaccination and contraception campaigns in developing regions that is also suitable for low-cost BFS production made possible by the innovations incorporated in the DUO™ platform, notably its capability for ‘cool BFS’ cold production of temperature sensitive vaccines and other products.

The way these innovations work hand-in-glove will be highlighted in the Day 2 presentation ‘Leveraging BFS technology to produce an innovative CPAD for self-injection’ from Technical Sales Specialist at Brevetti Angela, Eng. Massimo Consolaro, accompanied by PATH Senior Technical Officer Ben Creelman (December 4, 1035-1105 hrs.).

The Pharmaceutical Blow-Fill-Seal International Operators Association (BFS IOA) is an international industry association for pharmaceutical and associated companies with direct or indirect involvement with Blow-Fill-Seal (BFS) manufacturing. The association’s Asia/Pacific meeting for 2024 is a three-day event opening on the evening of December 3 at the Westin Hotel in Perth, WA.

The event will include presentations from Brevetti Angela and other leading manufacturers of BFS technology, with the focus on applications for vaccines, cool BFS production of temperature-sensitive products, and sustainability issues.
