Bachem to host Corporate Social Responsibility webinar
Bubendorf, Switzerland: –Peptide and oligonucleotide technology specialist Bachem AG is to host a webinar at which it will discuss its responsibilities towards the environment and the society.
The Zoom-hosted one-hour webinar ‘Bachem Corporate Social Responsibility’ will take place on April 13, 2021, commencing at 0900 CEST (UTC+2) with online registration free of charge (see Resources).
CSR importance and implications
The webinar will explain the central place that ethically correct behavior and integrity play on Bachem’s business success and what its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policies mean for its stakeholders.
Bachem’s CSR codes and policies extend to Sustainable Procurement, combating corruption and promoting fair competition, social and supply chain issues, such as prevention of child labor or modern slavery, and Legal Compliance and Respect For Human Rights.
All these issues will be covered, along with Bachem’s CSR commitment to maintaining meaningful dialogue with its stakeholders and highlights from Bachem’s latest CSR performance review.
Principal speaker: Dr. Franz Saladin
The webinar will be hosted by a Bachem moderator and will feature Bachem’s CSR Compliance Manager, Dr. Franz Saladin, as Principal Speaker. Dr. Saladin is responsible for the Bachem Group’s sustainability reporting worldwide and also heads the Swiss-based consulting company Saladin Public Affairs.
Dr. Franz Saladin obtained his Diploma in Chemistry at the University of Basel in 1992 and went on to gain his PhD on photochemical storage of concentrated solar energy at the Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland, after which he did post-doctoral studies at the Australian National University in Canberra.
