Development partner Skyepharma bringing innovation and modified release advances to BIO-Europe Spring, PBP World Meeting and euroPLX

Saint-Quentin-Fallavier, France: – Skyepharma Productions S.A.S. (Skyepharma), the French-based  fully-formed contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO), will be attending three prominent events within the course of a single week in late March to early April 2022.

Two of the events will be happening simultaneously from March 28 to March 31 inclusive; the online digital BIO Europe Spring 2022 networking and partnering event and the 13th World Meeting on Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology (PBP) in the Netherlands port city of Rotterdam.

The third event, euroPLX78 will be a two-day event opening April 4, 2022, at Portugal’s Hotel Cascais Miragem, near Lisbon

Strong teams

Skyepharma’s presence at BIOEurope will be headed by Pharmaceutical Development Director, Dr. Aline Moulin, who will be able to provide greater detail about the support Skyepharma can offer to solve complex formulation challenges with oral solid dosage forms. This maintains Skyepharma’s close relationship with the BIO series, having attended previous BIO-Europe events over the past five years.

In Rotterdam, the Skyepharma team for PBP World meeting will be Development Project Manager Dr. Marion Quaillet, Development & Innovation Project Manager Dr. Vanessa Bourgeaux, and PhD researcher Léo Picart, who will present two scientific posters on ‘Lipidic nanoencapsulation for poorly soluble APIs’ and ‘Release kinetics of press-coated tablets’.

Partner for Development

Four days after the BIO Europe and PBP events close, Skyepharma will be in Lisbon for the latest euroPLX marketplace exchange meeting. Here, the company will be represented by Chief Commercial Officer Laurent Rigaudeau and senior Business Development Manager Vincent Pasquier.

At all these events, Skyepharma will be looking to forge new ‘Partner for Development’ relationships with organisations looking for collaboration and support in R&D, formulation development and Life Cycle Management for solid dosage forms. These include application of advanced technologies for modified controlled drug release: Geomatrix®: multi-layer tablet sustained and controlled release, Geoclock® tab-in-tab delayed release, and Soctec®: enteric capsule extended release.

About Skyepharma Production

Skyepharma is an independent French pharmaceutical CDMO, 100% owned by its management team and Bpifrance. Skyepharma is an expert CDMO specialised in the formulation, development and manufacturing of complex oral solid forms (OSD), with a specific expertise and proprietary technologies on modified release products.

About PBP 2022

The Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology (PBP) World Meeting has become a well-established pharma industry event, attracting scientists from all over the world. The event is biennial, with previous meetings held in Budapest, Paris, Berlin, Florence, Geneva, Barcelona, Malta, Istanbul, Lisbon, Glasgow , and Granada (2018), with a 2021 event held online because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The 13th World Meeting, PBP 2022, is held over four days, opening March 28  at the RACC Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Center in The Netherlands.

The event is expected to attract around 1,000 delegates with hundreds of 1000 abstracts posted.

The conference and the accompanying ResearchPharm® exhibition provide a cross-disciplinary platform for pharmaceutical scientists working in all fields of drug product development in industry, academia and regulation.
