Skyepharma adds Stick-pack oral dose options

Saint-Quentin-Fallavier, France: – Fully-formed contract development and manufacturing organisation Skyepharma Productions S.A.S. (Skyepharma), has added Stick-pack filling & packaging of oral dosage forms to its suite of CDMO services.

Skyepharma’s addition of a stick-pack packaging line to its production facility at Saint-Quentin-Fallavier significantly increases marketing options for its clients, providing attractive and innovative replacements or complements to traditional sachets or tablets.

Innovative unit-dose solution

Stick-packs are a convenient unit-dose solution that help to improve patient comfort and dosage compliance. The packs can be formed from aluminum, PE or paper foils and filled with powder, pellets or granules.

Stick-packs are compatible with complex formulations, including Skyepharma’s own Modified Release solutions.

Flexible packaging

The Aranow installation selected by Skyepharma allows production of Liquid Stick-pack, that offers particularly precise dosage control, ideal for populations with active lifestyles, thanks to compact form, easy carriage and convenient access for most formulations.

The sophisticated packaging line is highly flexible, allowing batch sizes ranging from single to several hundred kilos, with a wide range of options for foil form and cap sealing.

Skyepharma can produce stick-packs to comply with all leading regulatory regimes, including EU, USA, Brazil.
