PUR Universal Container Cleaning System
Ever-present demands to maintain the most stringent hygiene standards in pharmaceutical manufacturing raises a constant need to find the most efficient ways to clean the containers used in production processes to prevent cross-contamination, ensure product quality, and comply with regulatory requirements.
Traditional cleaning methods involve labor-intensive procedures, significant downtime, and inconsistent results, posing challenges to operational efficiency and compliance. Container cleaning processes can also form production bottlenecks, leading to prolonged downtime and reduced throughput.
L.B. Bohle meets these challenges head-on with its PUR Pharma Universal Cleaning System, a state-of-the-art solution designed to accommodate containers of various shapes and sizes, including some types of stainless steel IBC intermediate bulk containers for transport of liquids and granular solids.
PUR features
The PUR is a stationary cleaning unit with compact footprint that provides the major functionality of an expensive wash cabin for easy and efficient internal and external cleaning for a variety of container shapes and sizes.
The basic design of the PUR cleaning system consists of two main elements. One is the manual lifting unit with cleaning lid that can be fixed to a wall, with cantilever arm carrying the washing lid and cleaning nozzle assembly. The lid can then be docked to a trolley mounted container that can be loaded elsewhere and rolled into place for cleaning.
The media-driven target jet cleaner effectively cleans the entire interior of the container with a 360° spray angle. For external cleaning, the system can be switched to a manual spray lance.
The entire washing process of the container cleaning system is computer-controlled, monitored and documented. The touch panel HMI enables easy operation and clear visualization, with control panel mounted remotely from working area, for operator protection. Customers have the option of storing specific cleaning recipes in the controls.
