Pittcon USA launch for Kromasil® ClassicShell C18 and C8 UHPLC/HPLC columns

Bohus, Sweden: Kromasil, a global brand of AkzoNobel for chromatographic analysis and purification, unveils the latest products of its versatile Kromasil® technology at the premier Pittcon 2016 conference in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

It will announce the new Kromasil ClassicShell 2.5µm particle columns, based on solid core stationary phase technology with C18 and C8 derivizations. These columns can be used in either UHPLC or HPLC mode, providing scientists further flexibility when running their chromatographic methods.

The division will be an exhibitor at Pittcon, with its stand at Booth 2927 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

“It is important for us to meet end users of our columns, launch new products according to customer needs and participate in scientific discussions. Pittcon provides a great platform for all three of those aims,” said Cecilia Mazza, Regional Sales Manager for AkzoNobel Separation Products.

“It’s a great event to get into meaningful discussions with our end users; particularly scientists, analytical chemists, chemists in R&D, and bench analysts working with HPLC and UHPLC,” said Ms. Mazza.

“This year, we show new columns and new technologies supporting our portfolio of fully porous based stationary phases and now, with ClassicShell, expanding into solid core particle phases,” Ms. Mazza added.

“Our end users now have more tool box choices, all from a single source,” she concluded.

SFC for Proteins and study of new phases for UHPLC/HPLC separations

The Kromasil team will also present its innovative technologies at two poster sessions. One presentation will demonstrate the capacity of supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) as a promising technology for protein separation. The other presentation will highlight the use of potential phases for UHPLC/HPLC separations at high pH.

Kromasil has become an established presence at Pittcon, having attended the conference for over a decade. Once again, it will be hosting its Pittcon distributor dinner for its agent network selling Kromasil columns direct in more than 50 countries worldwide.
