Case studies

The webinar will feature two case studies that illustrate how combining mineral salts with lactose excipients can create superior powder formulations.

One case study, concerning Fast Melt Sticks, explores the combination of iron and magnesium salts with lactose to enhance the flowability of the formulation for tableting or capsule filling. This will be presented by Dr Paul Lohmann® Head of Application Technology, Dr. Nadine Streitner, who will also provide deeper insight into the diversity of magnesium salts.

Low dose applications

The other case study will show how adding manganese salts to a lactose-based mix can help overcome typical challenges in developing low-dose formulations. This will be presented by MEGGLE Excipients Global Application Manager Dr. Rebekka Spellerberg, who will draw on her background in pharmacy and pharmaceutical technology, to guide the audience through the broad portfolio of lactose-based excipients to make the right choice for low-dose formulations.

The webinar will be moderated by Dr Paul Lohmann® Pharma & Cosmetic Product Manager, Dr. Loreen Hericks.
