L.B. Bohle’s QbCon®1 Continuous Granulator Assembles in Under 10 Minutes

Ennigerloh, Germany – Pharmaceutical machinery specialist L.B. Bohle Maschinen und Verfahren GmbH has demonstrated how its QbCon®1 continuous wet granulation and drying system can be assembled – or disassembled – in under 10 minutes, using a near-tool-free design.

Built for simplicity

This remarkably fast and simple process is made possible by key QbCon®1 design features, including a single plug-and-play integrated HMI control for all three process stages: dosing, granulation, and drying.

It is also the result of thoughtful design, precision engineering, and attention to detail in creating a system optimized for quick setup, easy maintenance, and wash-in-place (WIP) cleaning to efficiently support continuous pharmaceutical production and R&D.

Compact by design

The QbCon®1 is optimized for small-batch research, featuring compact footprint and variable throughput from 0.5 to 2.5 kg/h. A larger throughput is possible but depends on the product.

Precision process control

The Integrated Process Control allows the system to handle rapid continuous raw material dosing, twin-screw wet granulation, and drying without sub-batching or blocked filters.
