HOF Sonderanlagenbau showing power of innovation at PFDT Seville

Lohra, Germany: Innovative force in high quality tailored lyophilization solutions, HOF Sonderanlagenbau, will be a significant presence at the upcoming Pharmaceutical Freeze Drying Technology (PFDT) conference in Seville, Spain.

HOF will be an exhibitor at the event, which is organized by the Parenteral Drug Association (PDA).

Under its banner of “Knowledge makes the Difference”, the HOF booth will display the range of its highly advanced technologies and custom-tailored solutions for freeze drying, loading and unloading and freeze-thaw processing.

Smart vial transfer

HOF Sonderanlagenbau Sales Manager Dirk Walbrecht and Business Development Manager Gerhard Schilder will represent the company in Seville, presenting recent developments.

These include automatic machine protection, the process for vacuum-induced ice nucleation HOF SynchroFreeze, actual trends regarding the F-Gas regulation and the revolutionary HOF SmartVTS vial transfer system.

SmartVTS combines robotic handling of vials with HOF’s wireless tempris© sensor system. The robot system uses stoppers equipped with tempris© antenna for process monitoring in a freely definable position. These stoppered vials can then also be loaded or unloaded in a fully automatic process.

Latest lyophilization developments

HOF Sonderanlagenbau, which recently celebrated its 30th anniversary, has become an established presence at the PFDT conference.

The 2018 PDA Pharmaceutical Freeze Drying Technology conference (PFDT) is part of the Europe Exchange Series staged by the Parenteral Drug Association (PDA).

The 2018 conference and co-located exhibition is being held in parallel with the 11th Workshop on Monoclonal Antibodies as a two-day event opening Nov 27 at the Meliá Sevilla expo center in Seville, Spain.

The conference will focus on the complexities of freeze drying and provide updates on the latest technical and regulatory developments in lyophilization.
