Efficient, Sustainable, Future-Proof – How Rethinking Freeze-Drying Is Reshaping Aseptic Manufacturing
Lohra, Germany – Freeze-drying and pharmaceutical process leader HOF Sonderanlagenbau GmbH believes a new chapter is opening in the story of lyophilization, thanks to recent technological advances.
Fabian Plaum, a senior engineer from HOF Sales Management, will tell the influential Parenteral Drug Association that the potential is now here to rethink freeze-drying processes for radically enhanced efficiency and sustainability.
Freeze-drying processes reimagined
Mr. Plaum will be presenting in Session 4, Track B of the Good Aseptic Manufacturing Conference in Frankfurt-am-Main, Germany. His talk (June 12, 10:40-11:00) will form part of the Freeze-Drying Track, with a session focusing on aseptic manufacturing workflows and enhanced regulatory compliance with EU GMP Annex 1 guidelines.
His presentation on ‘Efficient. Sustainable. Future-Proof: Rethinking Freeze-Drying Processes’ will show how lyophilization is evolving rapidly – driven by the need for higher efficiency, sustainability, and future-ready production concepts.
Advanced technologies
Fabian will share insights on how manufacturers can now rethink existing approaches and unlock new potential in aseptic manufacturing, thanks to technological breakthroughs such as using ambient air as a refrigerant via heat exchangers.
Fabian Plaum commented: “I am very excited to be speaking at this important and valuable conference and am also looking forward to taking part in insightful discussions and connecting with fellow industry experts.”
“At HOF Sonderanlagenbau we have accumulated a near unrivalled knowledge base on freeze-drying and freeze-thaw engineering and methods that we are keen to bring to the conference’s overall aim of future-proofing aseptic manufacturing by adopting superior solutions,” he added.
