Bringing advanced Shock Freeze technology to Swisstransfusion Congress

Lohra, Germany – Freeze-drying and pharmaceutical process leader HOF Sonderanlagenbau GmbH will exhibit its advanced shock freezing technology at the upcoming Swisstransfusion Congress in Bern.

HOF Sonderanlagenbau is a sponsor of the event, which it is attending for the first time. Its stand in the Exhibition Zone at the Bern Event Forum will feature displays showcasing its range of advanced blood plasma freeze-thaw units.

Shock freeze technology

These use shock freezing technology, which has transformed blood donation and transfusion over the past 30 years by enabling very rapid freezing to achieve total stability in storage. Two members of HOF Sonderanlagenbau Sales Management, Fabian Plaum and Johannes Kuhl, will represent the company at the Swisstransfusion Congress, presenting technical information and answering visitor queries on stand and participating in networking events.

The Swisstransfusion Congress provides an annual forum for professionals from transfusion medicine and related disciplines that combines the latest scientific findings, clinical developments and practice-oriented insights.

Swisstransfusion 2026 is a two-day event, opening August 27 at the Event Forum in the centre of Switzerland’s federal capital of Bern.
