HOF Sonderanlagenbau bringing SIRIUS 2.0 new generation robotic placement to ACHEMA 2024

Lohra, Germany: European premium pharma solutions provider HOF Sonderanlagenbau GmbH will emphasize its leadership in high quality tailored freeze-drying lyophilization when it showcases its latest technological advances at the upcoming ACHEMA 2024 chemical engineering and process industries expo in Frankfurt-am-Main.

Under its new banner of “Premium Pharma Solutions”, HOF will exhibit from stand D24 in Hall 4.0 at the Frankfurt Messe showground as part of the Thermal Processes Zone.

SIRIUS 2.0 robotic loading

Centerpiece of the HOF display will be the latest iteration of its groundbreaking SIRIUS robot-assisted HOF SIRIUS loading and unloading system introduced at ACHEMA 2022.

The new generation SIRIUS 2.0 now integrates camera and laser technology to allow vial package in the freeze dryer to be precisely identified. The new transport system that eliminates particle creating conveyer belts now adds bases to the format parts of the movers that prevent vials from moving on the fixed guide during transport in the XTS, further reducing friction.

Scalable solution

The SIRIUS transport system enables safe transportation of vials without glass-to-glass contact with format-specific nests to prevent vials from toppling. State-of-the-art 6-axis robotic technology combined with the electromagnetic XTS-Hygienic System ensures maximum flexibility in aseptic handling. The system operates on a row-by-row principle, ensuring precise traceability.

The SIRIUS system is modular in design to make it adaptable to any layout and highly scalable.
