HOF bringing freeze-thaw and freeze-drying technological leadership to three leading European industry events in March

Lohra, Germany – Leading freeze-drying and pharmaceutical process specialist HOF Sonderanlagenbau GmbH will have a prominent presence at three major European industry events in March 2026.

HOF will exhibit and contribute to the conference program at the Single Use Event, dedicated to freeze-thaw solutions, at its new extension in Basel, Switzerland, on March 19. Later in the month, the company will also exhibit and present at the two-day Pharma Congress in Wiesbaden and the three-day Lounges Cleanroom Processes conference in Karlsruhe, both opening on March 24.

Single Use Event Basel

HOF has become an established participant at the annual Single Use Event, which connects bioprocessing, biotechnology and biopharmaceutical manufacturers with suppliers, focusing on the latest technological and product developments in bioprocessing.

For 2026, the event moves besides the event Leiden in the Netherlands to Basel, at the heart of the Swiss biopharma cluster.

HOF will present its range of advanced lyophilization, freeze-thaw solutions at Table 47 in the Exhibition Zone at the Congress Center Basel. The HOF team on site will include Fabian Plaum and Johannes Kuhl from Sales Management.

Fabian Plaum will also deliver a conference presentation entitled “Efficient. Sustainable. Future-Proof: Rethinking Plate and Blast Freezing Processes” during the morning session (11:20–11:40 hrs).

Pharma Congress Wiesbaden

Mr. Plaum will also lead HOF’s return to the 27th GMP Pharma Congress 2026 in Wiesbaden, in western Germany’s RheinMain region, accompanied by Sales Management colleagues Peter Schneider and Dirk Walbrecht.

Founded in 1998 by Concept Heidelberg, the annual event has become one of Europe’s leading forums for industry stakeholders to discuss GMP/FDA compliance and other current regulatory and technical trends. The meeting combines the GMP Pharma Congress — focused on knowledge exchange and case studies — with the co-located GMP PharmaTechnica exhibition, where companies present products and technologies.

HOF will be located at Stand A17 in the RheinMain CongressCenter, presenting innovative solutions including its spectrometry-based MassAnalyzer for continuous process monitoring and CryoBlizzard technology, which uses ambient air as a refrigerant.

Fabian Plaum will join Thorsten Haefner of CDMO PSM for a joint case study presentation entitled “Re-Imagining Controlled Rate Freezing and Thawing Processes” on Day Two (Wednesday, March 26). The presentation will highlight more sustainable freeze-thaw processing of single-use bag systems and demonstrate advantages achieved through implementation of a HOF Freeze-Thaw Unit Air-Line at PSM’s site in Schiffweiler, Saarland.

Lounges Cleanroom Processes Karlsruhe

Simultaneously, HOF will demonstrate its technological leadership in pharmaceutical equipment manufacturing at the 2026 Lounges Cleanroom Processes event in Karlsruhe, also opening on March 24.

Hosted by Cleanroom Processes, the Lounges series provides platforms for knowledge sharing and networking within the cleanroom and process technology sectors.

HOF will again be located at Booth K4.4 in the exhibition area at Messe Karlsruhe. The company will be represented by Julien Dietermann and Johannes Kuhl from Sales Management, both of whom will contribute conference presentations.

On Day One, Mr. Dietermann will present “Annex 1: Safe Loading and Unloading of Freeze Dryers.” On Day Two, Mr. Kuhl will speak on “Process Reliability through Mass Spectrometry,” demonstrating quality and efficiency gains achieved using HOF’s MassAnalyzer technology.
