Gerteis® brings technical insights and advanced technology to ACHEMA 2024

Jona, Switzerland: – Dry granulation specialist Gerteis® Maschinen + Processengineering AG will emphasize its place as a technology leader in pharmaceutical industry roller compaction when it exhibits at the upcoming ACHEMA 2024 chemical engineering and process industries expo in Frankfurt-am-Main.

The Gerteis® stand at Booth D3 in Hall 3.0 of the Messe Frankfurt will form an important part of the Pharmaceutical, Packaging and Storage Techniques Zone.

Premium roller compaction

The Gerteis®  display will feature live individual customer demonstrations of its latest generation roller compactors including the production-oriented POLYGRAN®, now upgraded to the latest Gerteis  HMI control interface and Full-HD Panel-IPC, delivering new capabilities including Extended Batch Information (EBI), Parameter Evaluation System (PES) and advanced recipe management.

Alongside this, Gerteis will display its premium roller compactors MINI-PACTOR® and MACRO-PACTOR®, featuring the new GERTEIS patent-pending in-line Hardness Indicator measurement system to assess actual ribbon strength.

Hardness Indicator instrumentation is based on research demonstrating an almost linear relationship between the amount of vibration encountered in milling the ribbon and its resulting strength, expressed as bondability and eventual tablet strength. This delivers a more reliable and consistent parameter for process control than simple at-gap density and compressibility.

Enhanced process control

The PACTOR® machines on display in Frankfurt also feature other leading-edge technologies, such as the patented Gerteis® feeding system, along with augmented software functions for better process control and performance.

The stand team will include Gerteis® technology experts from Switzerland including Vice president Sales & Technology Hartmut Vom Bey, Head of Process Engineering Michael Schupp, with Sales Managers Michael Hanisch and Christoph Schnitzer. Together, they will be able to provide in-depth technical advice on development, formulation, and production issues.
