GERTEIS® brings compact dry granulation and live trials to India’s Pharma Pro&Pack Expo
Jona, Switzerland – Dry granulation specialist GERTEIS® will showcase its advanced roller compaction technologies for its debut appearance at India’s premier pharma process and packaging machinery event, Pharma Pro&Pack Expo 2026.
The compact and mobile MINI-POLYGRAN® lab scale and batch production roller compactor will form a centerpiece of the GERTEIS® displays on Stand A21 as part of the International Pavilion in Hall 3 of the giant HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad. The city forms a hub for India’s dynamic pharma manufacturing industry, currently estimated at more than USD 40 billion and projected to reach 130 billion by 2030.
Built for India’s oral-solid-dose makers
“A significant part of Indian pharma manufacturing is concerned with oral solid dose (OSD) production in which granulation is the key process and our systems such as MINI-POLYGRAN® are ideal for the needs of dynamic R&D and niche production, with their incredibly fast set up times, sophisticated control HMI systems and great adaptability,” said GERTEIS® Senior Sales Engineer Ralph Böniger.
“We will run live powder trials that will show MINI-POLYGRAN®’s ability to process as little as 10 grammes of powder yet run commercial batches at up to 50 kilos per hour,” he added.
Mr. Böniger will form part of the on-stand team, along with GERTEIS® Vice President Sales & Technology, Hartmut vom Bey, and Mr. N. Sundaram, Regional Sales Director for dry granulation specialists Uventis Bioscience, who represent GERTEIS in India.
PAT-ready roller compaction
Stand displays will also feature other GERTEIS® systems such as the MACRO-PACTOR® flagship system for full-scale production, capable of throughput rates up to 400 kg/h, and the MINI-PACTOR® for development and pilot-scale applications. These all feature GERTEIS® NextGen technology, including advanced control systems that bring Process Analytical Technology (PAT) into roller compaction and are particularly valuable in pharmaceutical development and scale-up, as well as supporting continuous manufacturing.
“We are very pleased to be making our first appearance at Pharma Pro&Pack, which has become a key event for the Indian market,” said Ralph Böniger.
“Our presence here reflects high and growing demand from India’s pharma producers for our roller compaction systems with their exceptional precision and reliability,” he commented.
