Gasporox to show its advanced package testing solutions at CPHI Barcelona

Lund, Sweden: – Non-destructive testing technology specialist Gasporox AB is returning to Europe’s leading pharma industry event, the CPHI 2023 trade expo, this year in Barcelona, with an expanded range of innovative non-destructive packaging testing solutions.

Gasporox will exhibit from Stand 3T19 in the Fira Barcelona Gran Via congress center, as part of the Pharma Machinery and Equipment Zone. The stand will showcase a wide range of advanced quality control solutions based on TDLAS tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy. This allows non-intrusive headspace gas analysis for rapid and real time container closure integrity testing and content verification.

Relationship with CPHI

The CPHI event has been a recurring milestone in Gasporox development. Gasoprox first attended CPHI in Milan 2021 which provided the platform for the launch of the GPX1500, which has inspired a family of related products, including the GPX1500 Vial benchtop instrument and the GPX1500 Film Pharma for bag and sachet testing. All these testing instruments will be featured on the Gasporox Stand, with live demonstrations throughout the three-day show, including oxygen and carbon dioxide variants.

Also featured will be the Vial Arch™ in line sensor module for real time testing on packaging lines, which was launched at CPhI Worldwide 2021 and selected as a short-listed finalist in the ‘Excellence in Pharma: Manufacturing, Technology & Equipment’ category at the CPHI Pharma Awards at last year’s show in Frankfurt. Other displayed products will include the GasSpect sensor that integrates TDLAS into third party inspection systems.

Building connections

The Gasporox stand team and live demos will be led by Director of Sales & Applications Roland Koch, supported by both Area Sales and Product Managers  Niklas Bohlin and Jean-Philippe Descloux.

The GPX1500 Vial is the Film Pharma’s sibling for rigid containers, like vials and ampoules.

The available Headspace Analysis sensors work with many types of containers like vials, ampoules, bottles, bags and trays and are available for measuring O2, CO2, H2O, or the pressure inside the inspected container and are suitable for Leak Detection on packages like trays, bags. These sensors can be integrated into production machines and also form the basis for stand-alone instruments.

Gasporox technology has been proven for performance and robustness over more than a decade in the pharmaceutical industry in the testing of parenteral drugs. It is integrated and used in machines, systems and instruments for total lab and production testing of vials and ampoules in many parenteral packaging lines.
