Gasporox to launch new VialArch solution at CPhI Worldwide Milan

Lund, Sweden: – Non-destructive testing technology specialist Gasporox AB will unveil its latest optical spectroscopy based testing solution, VialArch, at the upcoming CPhI Worldwide pharmaceutical expo, returning as a physical event in Milan in early November.

VialArch, whose details have not yet been released, will accompany Gasporox’s other testing systems on its stand at booth 10K86 as part of the PMEC pharma machinery zone at the Fiera Milano exhibition center. Other Gasporox solutions on show will include GPX1500 Vial, GPX1500 Film Pharma, GasSpect-series, and GasSpect Flex, with all systems being live demonstrated on stand for features and capabilities.

Gasporox has been a prominent presence at previous CPhI events, with its GPX Porosity System among the finalists for the 2020 CPhI Pharma Awards for Excellence in Pharmaceutical Analysis, Testing and Quality Control. GPX technology represents a new approach to porosity analysis of pharmaceutical substrates, such as ribbons and tablets, replacing traditional destructive methods that require laboratory support.

The optical spectroscopy solution relies on a unique combination of GAs in Scattering Media Absorption Spectroscopy (GASMAS) and Photon Time-of-Flight Spectroscopy (PTOFS). The dual sensors allow measurements of the optical porosity of ribbons produced by roller compaction as well as finished compacted tablets. The non-destructive instrument is fast, accurate and easy to use and can be used at a production line, with no special sample preparation required.
