Lindau, Germany: – Laboratory engineering specialist DORNIER–LTF is to present its leading edge PIRO® personal pipetting robot at the 2014 FISEB (ILANIT) Congress at Eilat in Israel.

PIRO® will be the star on the exhibition stand of HyLabs (Hy Laboratories Ltd), Dornier’s local distributor in Israel. DORNIER-LTF Chief Executive Dr. Rudolf Walser will also be there to meet clients and partners.

“This event will mark PIRO’s introduction to the Israeli market,” explained Dr. Rudolf Walser.

“This is also our opportunity to show our close collaboration with HyLabs and to strengthen international recognition for the highly sophisticated application processes and ease of use we can now bring to all molecular biology labs,” said Dr. Walser.

Revolutionary
The revolutionary PIRO® robotic pipetting system has been designed for the needs of qPCR laboratories allowing versatility, precision, reproducibility, and safety combined with highly intuitive software for easy setup of reactions. Although PIRO® has a small bench top workspace, it still allows for 16 positions to be used. The robot also offers flexible plate handling, drag and drop programming for qPCR setup, multi-dispensing functions, normalisation and serial dilutions and can handle 384–well plate setup without running out of tips.

The PIRO robot is very easy to program and can be used for many liquid handling needs from simple liquid transfers to highly complex applications. Set up takes no more than five steps and delivers results in minutes.

About ILANIT 2014
The 7th Congress of the Federation of the Israel Societies for Experimental Biology (FISEB/ILANIT) will be held on February 10-13, 2014, at Israel’s Red Sea resort of Eilat.

ILANIT meetings have become major scientific events in Israel, bringing together scientists and students and encompassing a broad spectrum of biological research. The event’s major objective is to promote scientific interactions between researchers in universities, research institutes, and hospitals in Israel. Previous ILANIT meetings demonstrated the high quality of life sciences and biomedical research in Israel, and the 2014 meeting aims to continue this trend, with a strong list of plenary speakers.

Some 1,700 participants attended the 2013 ILANIT Congress. This year’s sessions will be held in parallel at several hotels: the King Herod, Dan Eilat, Royal Beach and Isrotel Sport Club.
