DORNIER LabTech Systems shows PIRO® pipetting robot at Biotechnica Hannover
DORNIER LTS will exhibit on Booth A73 in Hall 19 of the Hannover Exhibition Center. Here, a team led by Head of Sales & Marketing Michael Duchaussoy and PIRO® Product Specialist Florian Glaser will conduct live demonstration of the personal pipetting robot.
Advanced PIRO® applications
“We were here for the first Biotechnica event in 2015. We’re returning because this show provides a great platform to show the PIRO® as the world’s leading personal pipetting robot with its powerful software for all molecular biology related labs,” said Mr. Duchaussoy.
“We will demonstrate various pipetting solutions and also focus on using PIRO® across a range of life science-related laboratory applications such as Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization (MALDI) – Time of Flight (TOF) Mass Spectrometry and High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC),” he explained.
Free PIRO® use for projects
“Our visitors will also have the chance to benefit from a great show offer: the chance to add a PIRO® console free of charge on any new projects started now that will lead to an order within three months,” said Mr. Duchaussoy.
Easy set up and traceability
PIRO® offers hassle-free qPCR setup and liquid level sensing with a simple ‘drag & drop’ interface and guidance within the software and automated supervision of all pipetting steps, working fields and pipetted volumes to provide perfect traceability for all PCR fields in microbiological R&D applications.
“PIRO®’s supervises all pipetting steps and pipetted volumes for perfect traceability of all PCR working fields in research and diagnostic applications, supporting easy export or import of pipetting results to or from LIMS systems or other instruments,” said Mr. Duchaussoy.
“PIRO® provides solutions that are very relevant for potential end users concerned with high end pipetting quality combined with perfect ease of use and with supervision of all pipetting steps and pipetted volumes to provide perfect traceability and reproducibility for all fields in research and diagnostic applications,” he added.
About DORNIER LTS
DORNIER LabTech Systems GmbH (DORNIER LTS) is a wholly owned daughter company of the German manufacturer DORNIER with decades of experience in aerospace and building robotics equipment. As a pipetting specialist, it develops, produces and markets ‘Made in Germany ‘premium-quality, flexible and easy to use benchtop liquid and sample handling systems. Its heritage as a respected aircraft builder is reflected in high quality, precision and reliability. Service and customer focus are key cornerstones of the DORNIER LTS company philosophy.
The company specializes in creating reliable and easy to use high precision liquid handling devices that aid laboratory automation. DORNIER LTS has developed affordable high precision automated liquid handling robotic technologies, in particular the newly developed PIRO® pipetting small robot that integrates high throughput benefits within a compact and easy to handle device.
The PIRO® has been designed for the needs of qPCR laboratories allowing versatility, precision, reproducibility, and safety combined with powerful pipetting middleware and intuitive drag and drop software for easy use and setup of reactions. Even though the PIRO® has a small bench top footprint, it allows for 16 positions to be used. Setting up 384-well plates without running out of tips, pipetting primary tubes, using the newly developed software features, easy recalibration and interchangeable pipetting heads are just a few features integrated in the PIRO®.
With the development of the PIRO®, DORNIER LabTech Systems provides an automated pipetting system with a reliable hardware and newly developed software solution to facilitate the needs of any laboratory.
About Labvolution/Biotechnica 2017
Labvolution is a biennial international trade show founded in 2015 for laboratory technology and equipment, focusing on Laboratory 4.0″ and digitalization. Its exhibition section encompasses technology, equipment and infrastructure research, analysis, production and teaching labs. It is co-located with the Biotechnica international trade show for biotechnology and life sciences.
The second fair, Labvoluton 2017, is a three-day event opening May 16 in Halls 19 and 20 of the Hannover Exhibition Grounds. The Labvolution show comprises three main sections, SmartLab, LabUser Exhibitors’ Forum and 3D Printing in Science Conference.
