Lindau, Germany: – Laboratory engineering specialist DORNIER LabTech Systems GmbH (DORNIER LTS) will show the latest version of its ground-breaking PIRO® automated pipetting small robot on its debut appearance at the increasingly important ARABLAB Expo in the United Arab Emirates.

DORNIER LTS will have its own stand at the event, at booth 430 in the Dubai International Exhibition Center.

Introductory pricing

An event team led by Michael Duchaussoy, Head of Sales & Marketing, and Stefanie Immler, Assistant to Chief Operating Officer will conduct live demonstrations of the latest PIRO model. These will show the PIRO system’s extensive capabilities as a personal pipetting solution with powerful software for qPCR and molecular biology-related lab automation tasks.

The DORNIER LTS team will also be able to give potential users hands-on experience with PIRO to allow them to experience the ease of use, flexibility and robustness of this high-speed pipetting solution. They will also be able to offer special introductory pricing to any customers who use PIRO as part of a project starting within four weeks of ARABLAB’s closing date.

Full traceability and high reproducibility

“This will effectively be our launch of PIRO to an increasingly influential market in the MEASA Region, where we can provide great opportunities for distribution partners,” commented Mr. Duchaussoy.

“There is a huge potential PIRO community here in end-users working in Universities, pharma and biotech companies, hospital and clinical laboratories and chemists, pharmacologists and biologists working in molecular biology and other life sciences. This is a highly accessible solution that is going to be of huge interest to anyone with pipetting work which they would like to automate and which needs full traceability, reproducibility and accuracy,” said Mr. Duchaussoy.

Easy qPCR setup

“We will be able to show potential end users that the PIRO indeed represents ‘Intelligent pipetting at its best’ combining high throughput liquid handling quality with perfect ease of use,” said Mr. Duchaussoy.

“For example, the system offers hassle-free qPCR setup and liquid level sensing with a simple ‘drag & drop’ interface and guidance within the software and automated supervision of all pipetting steps, working fields and pipetted volumes to provide perfect traceability for all PCR fields in research and diagnostic applications,” he added.
