Lindau, Germany: – Laboratory engineering specialist DORNIER LabTech Systems GmbH (DORNIER LTS) will bring the latest iteration of its ground-breaking PIRO® personal pipetting robot on its return to the International Gene Quantification Symposium and Industrial Exhibition Event (dPCR & NGS 2017) held at Technical University of Munich.

DORNIER LTS will be present on the stand of one of its leading partners, the Wasserburg am Bodensee-based laboratory equipment supplier LTF-Labortechnik GmbH.

Advanced qPCR capabilities

Its display will feature live demonstrations of the latest PIRO model. The demonstrations, led by DORNIER LabTech Systems product specialist Florian Glaser, will show the PIRO systems extensive capabilities as a personal pipetting robot with its powerful software for qPCR and all molecular biology related laboratory tasks.

“We will be able to show potential end users that the PIRO indeed represents ‘Intelligent pipetting at its best’ combining high end liquid handling quality with perfect ease of use,” said Mr. Glaser.

Drag and drop functionality

“For example, the system offers hassle-free qPCR programming with a simple drag & drop interface and guidance within the software,” said Glaser.

“PIRO´s automated supervision of all pipetting steps and pipetted volumes provides perfect traceability for all PCR fields in research and diagnostic applications,” he added.
