Dec Group to share continuous rapid API development insights at CCP Summit Boston
Ecublens, Switzerland: – Dec Group (Dec) will share insight on rapid continuous API technology at the upcoming Commercializing Continuous Processing (CCP) Summit conference in Boston.
Dec Group is sending a team of experts to the Hilton Boston Back Bay to discuss its latest innovations and solutions for continuous manufacturing.
Dec will again be a contributor to the conference agenda with a presentation ‘Reducing API development time with Continuous Rapid API Development Systems & Modular Type Packages (MTP)’ by Dr. Simon Coleman, Isolation and Drying Product Manager at Dec Group member company Alconbury Weston (AWL).
Overcoming multiple DoE bottleneck
Dr. Coleman’s presentation on the second afternoon of the summit (March 27, 1530 hrs.) will show how this AWL-developed solution can help overcome one of the major bottlenecks in API development; the time and resource required to carry out multiple experiments as part of an extensive DoE Design of Experiments.
He will present a case study describing how the Rapid API Development platform can carry out fully automated crystallization, filtration, washing, drying, solids discharge and collection into bottles, significantly reducing experimental lab time.
Dr. Coleman will also demonstrate how Module Type Packages (MTP) can be used to allow for flexible and configurable connections of unit operation modules, and how this can deliver multi-modular systems for both development and production.

About CCP 2024
First hosted in 2016, the Commercializing Continuous Processing Summit (CCP) has become one of the world’s foremost events in the rapidly maturing technology of continuous manufacturing (CM) in pharma and biotech.
The event’s mission is to provide a one stop shop for knowledge sharing in implementation and commercialization of CM.
The 8th CCP summit will be a three-day event opening March 26 at the Hilton Hotel Back Bay in downtown Boston, Massachusetts. The 2024 Summit will feature more than 20 senior speakers, twin conference tracks and three workshops, as well as a co-located tabletop exhibition. Major themes for CCP 2024 will include small molecules, biologics, and the latest addition of ATMPs (Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products).
