Dec Group returns to POWTECH Nuremberg with new and expanded technologies
Ecublens, Switzerland: – Powder handling and containment specialists Dec Group will be returning to September’s 20th POWTECH trade show in Nuremberg with a strengthened line-up of high-containment powder transfer solutions.
Dec Group, which is celebrating its own 30th Anniversary, has exhibited at every POWTECH fair since the event’s inception in the late 1990s. The Dec display will once again be found at Stand 1-316 in Hall 1 at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center and feature an impressive display of the company’s powder handling, filling, dosing and blending solutions, with experts on hand to answer technical questions.
High containment process solutions
At POWTECH 2017, Dec will be staging live demonstrations of PTS powder transfer in action, showing the safe change membrane of the Powder Transfer System, PTS Batchmixer, equipped with MPTS online sampling device for blending and sampling as well as MC50 spiral jet mill featuring the new flexible cyclone filter providing higher containment with the Powderflex system for continuous powder feed into the microniser.
Dec will also show its new flexPTS system for continuous small dosing in the 0.9 mg – 500 mg range.
Range of solutions
Other Dec Group solutions on view at Nuremberg will include:
- PTS/DosiValve® connection combined with DCS filling system for transfer, dosing and packaging under high containment)
- MC200 Micronizing isolator
- DCS Drum Containment System (for emptying drums)
- Bag emptying system with clean in place (CIP) facilities
The POWTECH display will also feature the newly designed DCS Liquid transfer system for corrosive and toxic liquids, again under high containment.

About POWTECH 2017
The POWTECH International Trade Fair for Mechanical Processing Technologies and Instrumentation bills itself as the world’s undisputed number one event for processing, analysis and handling of powder, granule and bulk solids technologies.
The 20th Fair, POWTECH 2017, is a three-day event opening September 26 at Nuremberg’s Exhibition Center. It is based on an exhibition featuring some 900 companies and organizations, supported by an extensive program of talks, presentations and networking events. The 2017 agenda will focus on a range of current issues including explosion protection, clean in place (CIP) solutions, cleanrooms and packaging.
POWTECH, shared with the TechnoPharm event, is staged every 18 months. The 19th event, in April 2016, was also staged in Nuremberg and featured more than 850 exhibitors and attracted some 16,000 visitors from 31 countries worldwide.
