Dec Group brings strongest-ever powder dosing line-up to POWTECH Nuremberg

Ecublens, Switzerland: – Powder handling and containment specialists Dec Group will be returning to the leading trade fair POWTECH in Nuremberg with a stronger line up than ever.

The Dec stand, 1-316 in Hall 1 at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center, will feature a dynamic display of the company’s powder transfer, powder dosing and microdosing solutions, with experts on hand to answer technical questions.

The Dec team will conduct live demonstrations of the Batchmixer with a MPTS sampling device, a Dosivalve dosing unit connected to Powderflex for continuous conveying and hopper for discharge, along with the recently introduced new design of the πPTS for microdosing at between 0.5 mg and 100 g. Visitors to the stand will also be able to see PTS Powder Transfer System and Dec’s CIP cleaning device in operation.

New generation MC Jetmill

The display will also feature Drum Containment Systems (DCS) for contamination-free emptying and filling drums along with the latest generation MC Jetmill® 50 Micronizing solution that was developed with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis. The improved geometry of the grinding chamber and ring-integrated nozzles enable a very narrow PSD (Particle Size Distribution) around 1 micron (Gaussian curve) especially with very sticky, fine and adhesive powders.

“All in all, our display will present our global capabilities for powder and bulk handling, process containment and micronizing,” he said.

PTS powder blending

The Dec team will also be presenting latest insights into its Batchmixer, based on its PTS Powder Transfer System technology, in powder blending at the Pharma Manufacturing Excellence Forum during the second morning of the show.

The Dec team will host end of day parties on the stand on the Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, snacks and live music from avant-garde saxophonist Heidi Jantschik (www.saxx-music.de).
