Dec Group bringing new insights on Future of Pharma Packaging to Berlin conference
Ecublens, Switzerland: – Dec Group will be a prominent presence at the upcoming Future of Pharma Packaging Industry conference in Berlin, contributing new insights on the implications of the industry move to more individual ‘novelty’ package formats.
Dec will be an exhibitor at the mid-January conference and will also add its voice to the conference agenda, with a double header presentation from its Filling Technologies Solution Division Manager, Philippe Bay, and Head of Science and Technology, Jean-Jacques Schwartz.
Successfully implementing niche packaging
Mr. Bay is an expert in the aseptic fill-finish of pharma products, with more than 20 years active experience, while Mr. Schwartz, a highly qualified engineer, has in-depth knowledge of the requirements and rewards of accompanying customers through the whole packaging journey from the earliest development stage, right through to the start of production.
Together, they will show the conference what is involved in the ‘Successful industrialization of novelty pharma packaging’, including the industrialization challenges involved in niche solutions, the advantages of close collaborative partnership with machine manufacturers in designing novelty packaging strategies and formats and the regulatory complexities of complying with the EU’s new Annex 1 in sterile manufacturing.
Modular DecFill® solutions
Dec Group’s table top exhibition will present the advantages of its recently launched DecFill® Product Line that delivers a highly modular approach to integrated filling and packaging challenges, designed to meet a wide range of applications from laboratory needs to mass production.
The line features semi- to fully automated filling lines that can be optimized for different speeds and containers such as vials, cartridges, syringes and double chamber systems, enhanced by state-of-the-art robotics and ability to operate within different restricted access barrier systems, fully integrated if necessary to streamline manufacturing processes from the raw material input to bulk handling, blending, sampling, micronizing and conveying applications most of which as aseptic processes.
The DecFill® approach offers a series of key benefits such as enhanced ergonomics, highly flexible operations to accommodate various speeds and container formats (including dual chamber syringes), multi-container handling, very high filling accuracy and GMP compliance with Annex 1 Manufacture of Sterile Medicinal Products guidelines.
