CurTec premieres Pharma Grade Packo at world shows

Rijen, Netherlands: – Choosing a pharmaceutical pack becomes much easier when all the ins but most of all the outs are known. Therefore CurTec developed the Pharma Grade Packo – a small volume container that has been tested according to both European and US Pharmacopoeia and is suitable as primary packaging for pharmaceuticals.

Primary plastic packaging should be safe to use, should be compatible with the pharmaceutical product inside and should be manufactured of materials that are safe and prevent absorption and migration of the content. Besides being chemically compatible, the packaging should not release substances that can affect the stability of its content (which addresses compatibility) or present a risk of toxicity (which addresses safety).

Pharma Grade Packos are manufactured from a new raw material. They have been tested e.g. for the presence of extractable metals according to monograph 3.1.3 of the European Pharmacopoeia, and for functional properties according to chapters 661 and 671 of the US Pharmacopoeia.
