CurTec bringing Biobased packaging to Pharmapack Europe

Rijen, Netherlands: – Specialty manufacturer of high-performance pharma packaging CurTec international will use the upcoming Pharmapack Europe exhibition in Paris to showcases their latest containers and pack solutions.

These include its new Biobased Packaging range and Pharma-grade Packo containers.

10-litre Click Pack

The CurTec stand at booth B50 in Hall 4 at the Paris Expo center will also show the new 10-litre Click Pack.

“Just like our drums, Click Pack is adopted throughout the industry as a bulk carrier for tablets and pharma powders. We keep expanding our range of capacities to the needs of our customers, since bulk tablet shipments come in various formats,” commented CurTec Marketing Communications Manager, Marc Martens.

Biobased packaging

Marc said the introduction of Biobased drums and pots, made of sugarcane-sourced bio plastics, meets emerging customer needs to show greater corporate responsibility.

“Biobased Packaging is a great alternative for companies whose core values include environmental sustainability and putting customer needs first,” said Marc.

“This can now include shipping to customers in packaging from a renewable source, thus contributing to reducing carbon emissions,” he commented.

“Our biobased packaging contains greater than 90% Bio HDPE derived from sugarcane, a renewable raw material that also contributes to CO2 reduction,” Marc explained.

Pharma-grade Packo

The CurTec display at Pharmapack 20178 will also feature the recently introduced Pharma Grade variant of the popular Packo small volume container, available in five sizes from 300ml to 1.3L.

The containers are manufactured from pharma grade HDPE, featuring pharma grade colorants, with inner seals are made from a blend of pharma grade HDPE and LDPE. The containers meet European and US Pharmacopeia standards and can be used as primary packaging for pharmaceuticals.
