BEA Technologies implements ‘smart working’ to maintain essential filter production at epicenter of CV-19 crisis
Milan, Italy: – Filtration specialist BEA Technologies finds itself on the front-line of the fight against the global coronavirus epidemic, both in its location in Lombardy, the leading European ‘hotspot’ for infections, and also for the importance of its products in combating spread of Covid-19.
BEA Technologies has imposed restrictions on its employees’ daily working activities in line with recent decrees of the Italian government. Additionally, it has implemented its own program of “Smart working” in all its commercial, administrative and assistance activities made by office employees, with many now working from home to maintain social distancing.
Additionally, all on-site visits and audits have been barred.
Full production maintained
However, BEA has managed to maintain full-scale production of filter elements for Pharma, Medical, Food and Beverage applications. This is considered an “Essential activity” to support production of drugs, hospitals supplies and food production across Europe.
The company has warned customers outside Italy that, starting from March 26th shipping and delivery of products might be slowed down due to transportation issues. These disruptions are expected to last up to April 6th.
“BEA Technologies well understand that these restrictions will impact on your daily activities and is willing to strongly support you once this period ends,” the company has told its customers.
It hoped that the current state of emergency will soon come to an end and has pledged to keep customers posted of any further developments.
