BEA Technologies has completed a new additional cleanroom for production of filter elements for biotech & pharma use
Milan, Italy: – Filtration specialist BEA Technologies has completed new cleanroom facilities for production of its advanced sterile filter assemblies.
The new cleanrooms are dedicated to production of filters for pharma and biotech use. They provide some 700 square meters of additional production space within a total area of 1,200m2, to provide the necessary room to accommodate all necessary utilities.
This will almost double BEA’s cleanroom production capacity, enabling the company to significantly accelerate timely deliveries to customers (see Resources) and add new products in future.
Endotoxin-free pre-flushing
The new facility includes a new plant for production of purified water.
This supports a final production step to produce Endotoxin free purified water for pre-flushing filters for pharma and medical use.
The new BEA cleanrooms are certified to ISO Cleanroom Level 7 (10,000) and Level 8 (100,000) standards, with non-unidirectional air flows and up to 60 air changes per hour.
