Bachem webinar on transforming project management services

The free to register online webinar ‘More than White Powder and Reports’ will be held on January 31, 2024, commencing at 1700 hrs. CET (UTC +1) and lasting approximately one hour.

From vision to execution

The session will explore Bachem’s scope to grow and transform its PM capabilities as part of a journey from vision to execution.

It will trace the importance of ever-more sophisticated project management as a key component of Bachem’s steep development curve as a peptide and oligonucleotide manufacturer undergoing many associated business changes.

The transformation has involved creation of newly empowered central project teams at Bachem with further development of PM capabilities and services to provide more proactive customer support to match a fast changing technical and competitive environment.

Project management experts

The webinar will feature insights from two of Bachem’s key project management experts, Dr. Gerrit Buurman, and Dr. Daniel Bachmann.

Dr. Buurman is Bachem’s Senior Director for Global Project Management, who leads a team of 24 professional Project Managers at Bachem’s headquarters site at Bubendorf in Switzerland. His previous experience includes several years in the Research division of F. Hoffmann-La Roche followed by more than 10 years in strategy consulting for the biopharmaceutical industry. Gerrit joined Bachem in 2016 to professionalize and further develop project and portfolio management at Bachem.

Daniel Bachmann is Bachem’s Business Development Manager for Oligonucleotides and also comes from a chemistry background. He has worked in the CDMO sector since 2015 in various roles ranging from process R&D to product and project management. Daniel joined Bachem in 2021 where he assumed the role of a customer project manager for Bachem’s Oligonucleotides portfolio and transitioned into business development in the second half of 2023.
