Bachem webinar on making complex peptides

Bubendorf, Switzerland: –Peptide technology specialist Bachem will host an online webinar on making long and complex peptides in early September.

The Zoom-hosted webinar ‘Learn About Methods for Making Long and Complex Peptides’ will be hosted on September 5, with the hour-long session commencing at 0800 CET (UTC+2).

Which production technique?

The webinar will discuss selection from the range of currently available production techniques for solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS), including native chemical ligation, CEPS, KAHA and recombinant technologies.

The discussion will show how to choose the best technology for manufacturing long, complex, and functionalized peptides or small proteins, with correct method selection important to achieve full functionalization of the target peptide.

Presenters

Presenters will be Dr. Leendert Van Den Bos, CEO at Bachem partner EnzyTag BV, and Dr. Naoki Yamamoto, Head of Business Development for Bachem Asia Pacific.

Dr. van den Bos is a highly qualified in bio-organic chemistry and has a wealth of process research &

development experience from, among others, Organon BioSciences,  Schering-Plough, Merck Sharp & Dohme and Aspen Pharmacare. In 2018 he co-founded EnzyTag to focus on the development of chemo-enzymatic processes for complex peptide API’s.

Before taking on his resent role in 2022, Naoki Yamamoto has been involved in the development of new synthetic methodologies for glycopeptides and glycoproteins, purification & analytical technologies for those materials, coordinating several collaborations and alliances with domestic international pharma companies.
